Terms & Conditions – GironaMTB Bike Rentals and Guided Tours

1. General Conditions

By renting a bicycle or booking a tour with GironaMTB, the client agrees to comply with these Terms and Conditions in full.

2. Rental Scope

  • Bike use is strictly limited to the province of Girona.

  • It is explicitly prohibited to use rental bikes in:

    • Bike parks

    • Competitions or races

    • Any context involving jump lines, DH tracks, or aggressive riding beyond standard trail use.

3. Booking and Payment

  • Rentals and tours must be confirmed in advance and are subject to availability.

  • Full payment is required to confirm any reservation.

  • A deposit or ID will be held as a guarantee during the rental period.

5. Client Responsibility

  • The client is responsible for:

    • Returning the bicycle in the same condition it was received.

    • Ensuring proper use of all rented equipment.

    • Covering the cost of any loss, damage, or theft, including vandalism, negligence, or misuse.

  • Do not attempt to repair the bike yourself. Contact GironaMTB immediately in case of any mechanical issue.

6. Identification and Contract

  • A valid ID or passport is required at pickup.

  • The client must sign the printed rental agreement upon collection.

7. Helmet and Safety

  • Wearing a helmet is mandatory at all times.

  • The client acknowledges the risks associated with mountain biking and accepts full responsibility for their personal safety.

  • GironaMTB is not liable for accidents or injuries during the rental or tour.

8. Insurance

  • GironaMTB does not provide personal accident insurance.

  • We recommend that all clients hold appropriate personal travel and accident insurance.

9. Theft or Damage

  • In case of theft, the client must:

    • File a police report immediately.

    • Inform GironaMTB without delay.

  • Any damage beyond normal wear and tear will be charged accordingly.

10. GPS Tracking

  • Some bikes are equipped with AirTags or GPS tracking devices for safety and theft prevention purposes.

11. Jurisdiction

  • These terms are governed by Spanish law.

  • Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Girona.
